I review sustainability evidence and help people decide what to do with it. Most weeks that means verifying EPDs and checking LCA and carbon work, and some weeks it means sitting with a board or a founder on where sustainability fits in the business.
Before this I co-founded Edge Impact in 2008 and handed over the CEO role in early 2024, the year it was sold to RSK Group.

Type 1 ecolabels cover well under 1% of what the world buys. The engine designed in West Germany in 1978 works, but the signal never travels, because there is no shared structure underneath the labels. Ecolabels need what Bluetooth gave devices, and the protocols for how machines buy things are being written right now without environmental performance at the table.
